DOYLESTOWN FARMERS’ MARKET
VENDOR’S AGREEMENT
The Doylestown Farmers’ Market is located on Hamilton Street, between West State Street and West Oakland Avenue in the heart of Doylestown. The purpose of the market is to support local farmers and growers by providing an outlet for their products. To that end, the Buckingham Township Civic Association (BTCA) has agreed to the following guidelines with the Borough of Doylestown, and we hope that with your continued cooperation we can maintain these practices:
- It is mandatory that vendors will have grown or produced much of what they offer for sale during the course of the season Items not grown or produced by the vendor must come solely from other local growers or tradesmen. All vendors must supply the BTCA with a brief description of items to be sold. The BTCA reserves the right to refuse any vendor authorization to sell, especially if the goods are deemed not in keeping with the spirit of the market. In any dispute, the decision of the BTCA shall be final. This is a condition of this agreement.
- Vendors assume responsibility to meet any and all local/state/federal laws that apply to their vending.
- The market is generally open from mid-April to mid-November (see cover letter for exact starting date.) Please attempt to vend for as many weeks as possible. This will be a consideration in choosing vendors.
- Vending fee is $6.00 per 3-foot by 6-foot area including tables and/or ground displays ($6.00 minimum.) Collection of fees will take place each Saturday by a BTCA representative.
- Vendor’s vehicles will be charged a $6.00 parking fee in addition to the vending fee, if parked in areas reserved for the market. Vehicles larger than pick-up size are prohibited. Vehicles or merchandise for sale must not obstruct exit lanes of the parking lot adjoining the Hamilton Street market.
- Vendors supply own tables and umbrellas and are responsible for cleaning up market area and adjoining streets. Please take all refuse home.
